Webinar Host Gay C. Smith, DVM

Dr. Gay Smith-Pike is a proud 1999 alum of Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She has dedicated 25+ years of her career to providing best care & support to both pets & people, practicing primarily within small animal medicine. She is a certified AVMA Wellbeing Educator & Presenter, a certified Frank Communication Training Facilitator, a certified Adult Mental Health First Aid Provider and a certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper. She is honored to serve as an esteemed member on the Veterinary Advisory Board for “CARE, Companion Animals for Reform and Equity”, in addition to acting as a dedicated Mentor DVM for “Ready, Vet, Go”. Dr. Smith-Pike has held numerous clinical roles in both private small animal practice & multi-unit veterinary operational leadership positions throughout her career. She currently holds the role of National Director of Veterinary Growth, Development & Wellbeing for over 150 veterinary practices & pet centers across the country within Destination Pet, LLC. She is most passionate about supporting total wellbeing within our beloved profession & the ability for people & pets to truly thrive, and not just survive, within veterinary medicine.
